One Great Hour of Sharing Offering
During Lent each year Paxton participates in the OGHS offering. For more than fifty years, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians throughout the United States through this offering by sharing god’s love with people experiencing need. Our gifts support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives, and work together to strengthen their families and communities. Thanks in advance for responding with gifts that help our sisters and brothers around the world find the hope for a brighter future. Envelopes may be found with your March PACE or in the pew racks.
FISH BANKS have been distributed to the children in the church school program. They provide the opportunity to contribute loose change to OGHS. As a suggestion, place the bank on your kitchen table, keeping it visible. Ask your children to check the sofa cushions, car seats, and any other common places loose change might be found, and have them put it in the fish bank. If you would like to participate, additional banks are available in the hallway between the church and parlor. Please return them to the FISH BANK basket on Palm Sunday or Easter.
Church Softball Team
An informative/sign-up table for the church softball team will be set up in the Great Room following worship. Tom Nichter and/or Rich Lengler will be available to answer any questions. This team is open to both women and men.

The concert opens with pianist, Anne Guenin presenting music of Nicolai Medtner. A younger contemporary of Rachmaninoff and Scriabin, Medtner created some glorious piano music which will be a treat to discover. In addition, the Chamber Singers of Pine Street Church will sing two sets of choral pieces by the celebrated John Rutter. Both are settings of famous English poetry, set in Rutter’s own unique style with charm and grace. Free parking at South Street Garage will be available. The concert does not ask an admission, but a free will offering will be received for Downtown Daily Bread. Child care provided.
