Kirkers Class

The Kirkers Sunday School class is an active group at Paxton Church. Over the decades that we have met, we have grown into a close and caring family of believers. Each week we usually start with devotions and a hymn sing, followed by a message. We traditionally have had at least one summer picnic and a Christmas party. Another tradition is preparing and serving strawberry shortcake at the June church school festival. During the year, Kirkers take their turn at sponsoring coffee fellowship times and also plan social events such as enjoying meals and plays, classic movies, and square-dancing. We also plan a special time each year with the youth fellowship group. Kirkers are attentive to needs of its members as well as the community and world beyond. A special committee reviews needs and requests and recommends the allocation of class funds for many charitable purposes.  The Kirkers Class is currently utilizing The Present Word publication from Uniform Lesson Series, the 2005-2010 Cycle, published through the Congregational Ministries Publishing, Presbyterian Church (USA).

We meet Sunday mornings all year round in the lower level of Paxton in the Kirkers Room. We meet at 9:45 AM from September through May. We meet at 10 AM during the summer months. Visitors and newcomers are always welcome!
